As a historical artist for National Geographic TV, I was well-versed in the history of various cultures around the world, but I noticed that one, in particular, the Germanic/Norse culture was not only misrepresented but quite misunderstood. So, because this also was my Ancestry, I decided that it was paramount to put a well-researched colour narrative of the “day in the life” documentation, consisting of 21 paintings, depicting many of the artisans and craftspeople together; the Shipbuilder, the Stonecutter, The Runemaster, The Village builders, the Musicians, the Blacksmith, the Meadmaker, the Sailmakers, the Navigator, and so on. Each painting in this book is accompanied by my full-color vignettes explaining sections of the original paintings, and the detailed story of each theme, taking place between 700 and 1000 CE.

Books #2 “Love, Life, and Language in Ancient Scandinavia” (Focusing on daily life, written language and personal relationships) & #3 “Sports and Agriculture in Ancient Scandinavia” (Focusing on farming, agriculture, hunting, fishing and outdoor sports) & #4 “Politics and the Allting in Ancient Scandinavia” (Focusing on the yearly Law-giving sessions that the modern-day justice system is founded on, including the structure of Hierarchy in Norse society) & #5 “World Exploration in Ancient Scandinavia” (Focusing on world exploration and colonization during the early viking age which was between 500 and 1000 AD) are currently in production.
